Seattle Breast Center

At the Seattle Breast Center at Northwest Hospital, we believe that every woman has a better chance of fighting breast cancer if she understands the risk factors, how to detect the disease, and the options for treatment. The Seattle Breast Center offers a variety of services and resources for our community, from screening and prevention to support groups and education.

Our comprehensive care begins with state-of-the-art, digital mammograms. Specialized breast radiologists read and interpret the mammograms utilizing state-of-the-art Computer-Assisted Detection (CAD) to aid in the earliest possible detection of breast cancer. If patients need follow-up studies, we provide the following services in one convenient location:

These studies include:

  • Screening mammograms.
  • Diagnostic mammograms.
  • Breast ultrasound.
  • Stereotactic guided needle biopsy.
  • Ultrasound guided needle biopsy.
  • Ultrasound guided excisional breast biopsy.
  • Breast MRI and MRI guided needle biopsy.
The Seattle Breast Center at Northwest Hospital was the first non-academic facility in the Seattle area to offer breast MRI biopsy.
  • Ultrasound guided cyst aspirations.
  • Pre-surgical wire localization.
  • Ductography.
  • DEXA Bone Densitometry.
